Having spent a great deal of time going through all the applications. WOW’s mystery sponsor was incredibly impressed with the standard, making it almost impossible to choose a single team.

They have therefore informed the WOW organisers that they wish to support every boat that enters the race with a sum of €5,000. The sponsor strongly believes that this will keep everyone on a level footing and bringing the fleet together rather than being a device element.

With 8 boats wishing to race, the sponsors have increased their initial offer to €40,000, and have guaranteed to continue this support to any other entries that are secured.

The sponsor has requested to release their identity at the end of the month.
